2026 ILDA Conference - $250 extra fee if not staying at ILDA hotel

This is to pay the additional $250 registration fee if you are NOT staying at the official ILDA Conference hotel, the Sheraton Grand Salzburg.

In other words, ILDA Full Conference registration costs $250 more for persons NOT staying at our hotel. (This fee does not apply to local Salzburg-area residents staying in their own home.)

Why do we have to charge an extra fee? We have guaranteed a certain number of rooms to the hotel, in order to get a discounted group rate. ILDA pays financial penalties if we do not get enough persons staying at our hotel. So please … come with us to the Sheraton Grand Salzburg, our official headquarters, so you don't have to pay the $250 fee. We will check the list of hotel guests to confirm whether you are staying at the official hotel. 

Why have an official hotel? It is easier and better to have everyone stay at the same hotel. It makes networking and informal meetings more fun! 

Who pays? This fee is per person for a Full Conference registrant (not their guest/spouse). If two Full Conference persons share a room or house not at our hotel, each would pay the $250 fee.
