2023 ILDA Pre-Conference Course: Lasershow operator

  • Introductory class intended for persons doing work around, and/or operating lightshow and display lasers. IMPORTANT: You are registering for the Lasershow Operator course. This is not the longer, more expensive, more popular Laser Safety Officer course. BE SURE YOU WANT TO REGISTER FOR LASERSHOW OPERATOR (AND NOT THE LSO COURSE).

We will be doing an online Zoom course for persons who previously registered for the Sept. 17 course. We do not yet have a date for this but we hope to do it by mid-October. Also, if you did not register but you wish to take the online version, contact ILDA.

This is to register for the half-day ILDA Lasershow Operator course. This is for persons who work with or operate lasers for lightshows and displays. It teaches basic lightshow safety concepts and procedures.

Note: This is NOT the Laser Safety Officer (LSO) course. If that's what your looking for, exit and find the LSO event.

The Lasershow Operator course consists of the first half of the Laser Safety Officer (LSO) course. If you pass the Lasershow Operator test, you will get a Certificate of Completion for a Lasershow Operator. See ILDA's laser courses webpage for more information on the difference between the Lasershow Operator course (first half of the LSO course) and the full LSO course. 

(Note: The Lasershow Operator course is NOT included in the ILDA Conference registration. It is a separate event, requiring separate registration and fees. If there is insufficient interest -- not enough registrants -- the class will be cancelled and registration fee will be refunded.)
